WELCOME JUFJ's NEW PROGRAM DIRECTOR!!!

JUFJ's Board is pleased to announce that Darya Mattes has joined our staff as Program Director. She will work with our membership to take effective action in community campaigns for affordable housing, workers' rights and much more.

Darya brings experience in education and programming and knows what it means to be a JUFJ volunteer leader. While a member of AVODAH in 2005-2006, she became very active in JUFJ's Mandatory Inclusionary Zoning campaign. This year, she served as co-chair of JUFJ's Labor Seder. Please wish her mazel tov and welcome her to her new role at JUFJ!

The other voice you may hear when calling the JUFJ office is Laura Bellows who is providing part-time administrative support and helping coordinate this year's Labor on the Bimah program.

We also want to thank out-going Director Lori Leibowitz for her great work over the past year and wish her the best as she begins law school this fall in Georgetown University's public interest program.
