This Spring, PEPCO filed an application for a rate increase of $51.7 million, the second increase in 2 years. If approved, PEPCO's revenue will rise by 14% despite having consistently failed to provide reliable service. This hike means higher utility bills for poor and working people.

Sign up to testify before the commission by calling (202) 626-5150 at least 3 days before the hearing. If you unable to attend, written statements may be submitted by November 17th.

The Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) will hold their final public hearing to provide District of Columbia residents the opportunity to express their opinions related to affordable housing, special needs housing, homelessness and community development and public service activities in the District of Columbia over the next five years (fiscal years 2011 - 2015).   The Hearing will be held on Thursday, November 19 @ 6:30 PM at the Reeves Center, 2000  14th Street, Northwest  - 2nd Floor.
