Women's Equality Day Event
The DC League of Women Voters invites all women and men to join a demonstration on Thursday, August 26, 2010, to commemorate the 90th anniversary of the 19th Amendment to the Constitution of the United States which gave women in the U.S. the right to vote.
This all-day action in front of the White House and Lafayette Park will also seek to draw national attention to the lack of full voting representation and autonomy for citizens of DC. Participants are welcome at any time and are encouraged to wear white.
