Community Listening Campaign

In the coming weeks, JUFJ leaders will talk with 100 new people about who they are and what issues they care about. We're reaching out to folks all over greater DC, in particular, targeting Maryland residents to help guide our campaign selection. If you'd like to recommend someone who JUFJ should meet, or to be more involved, please contact Monica at monica@jufj.org.

Monica Kamen Testifies at DC Council on Blocking "Secure Communities" Program

On Jan. 6th, immigrants and advocates gathered to support the DC Council’s Immigrant Detainer Compliance Act. This bill, cosponsored by all 13 councilmembers, dramatically limits our local law enforcement’s involvement with “Secure Communities” deportations. Click here to read Monica's testimony. We applaud the Council for standing against a broken immigration system! image courtesy of artist and activist Cesar Maxit
