His career includes public policy advocacy at the national level with American Jewish World Service and the Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism . He was recently published in the groundbreaking anthology Righteous Indignation: A Jewish Call for Justice which features articles by leading and emerging Jewish intellectuals, activists, and communal leaders about social and environmental justice concerns. Jacob is well known locally as a volunteer leader of Tikkun Leil Shabbat , a popular community shabbat service cosponsored by JUFJ. He is less well known for the important roles he has played behind the scenes as an active member of JUFJ’s Board of Directors focused on personnel and organizational development issues. Through his participation in the Selah leadership program, Jacob brings a wealth of knowledge and a network of important relationships to his future work.
