Mindfulness: The First of *Four* New Workshops This Spring

Mindfulness

  • Monday, February 11
  • Dinner at 6:30pm, Workshop Begins at 7:00pm
  • At the Religious Action Center of Reform Jusdaism:
  • 2027 Massachusetts Ave NW

This workshop sets the groundwork for aware, intentional social justice work: we will examine the challenges that social justice work brings up in terms of keeping inner peace and examine how inner awareness can help us to learn from these challenges. We will learn techniques for cultivating inner awareness. Finally, we will look at ways to cultivate pure intentions for our social justice work and act from a place of pure intention.

Workshop leader Zvi Bellin leads a variety of workshops on spirituality and mindfulness practices. He holds an M.A. in Counseling and Guidance from NYU, and is studying for his PhD in Pastoral Counseling at Loyola College, Maryland. Zvi is a graduate of D.C.'s Flow Yoga Teachers Training program. He has worked as a therapist in a number of mental health settings, and has interned as a Psychiatric Chaplain. Zvi is a co-founder of the Silver Spring Moishe House, a Jewish community house sponsored by the Forest Foundation.
