Montgomery County Community Forum on Policing

As a member organization of the Silver Spring Justice Coalition (SSJC), JUFJ calls for an end to racist policing practices in Montgomery County. At a SSJC rally to demand police accountability, JUFJ’s Montgomery County senior organizer, Laura Wallace, amplified the voices of several young Black men who were recently stopped by county police. The police detained the young men for no apparent cause, searched them, demeaned them, and referred to them with a hateful racial slur.
