Honoring Dr. King: The Enduring Relevance of “Letter from a Birmingham Jail”

January 16, 2022 | 1:00 pm - 3:30 pm

Honoring Dr King title featuring Taylor Branch, Tara Huffman, Tre' Murphy and students from the Baltimore School of the Arts.

Learn on Sunday and Do on Monday

Following Sunday’s program, volunteer on Monday, January 17th at the MLK Day of Service hosted by Jewish Volunteer Connection (JVC)!

While volunteerism alone doesn’t address root causes of systemic injustice, it does meet the immediate and emergent needs that often results from those systems.

JVC is committed to helping volunteers understand both the essential nature of their service work as well as the limited impact that service work has on addressing systemic issues- the root causes of service needs. Join JVC for the MLK Day of Service on Monday, January 17th and participate in a service-learning experience focused on better understanding the challenges experienced by individuals who are unhoused. Pre-Registration is required. Learn about volunteer opportunities and register HERE (or go to: www.jvcbaltimore.org/mlkday). Make MLK Day a day “On,” not a Day “Off.”
