JUFJ was proud to endorse Initiative 82, which eliminated the subminimum wage for waiters, bartenders, parking lot attendants, nail salon technicians, and others who rely on tips. But now, restaurant owners are trying to undermine the initiative with confusing junk fees to increase their own profits at the expense of workers’ tips. We're in the last leg of our DC Budget advocacy, and the Mayor and the Council still haven't fully funded key housing programs like housing vouchers and rental assistance.
